Faith Group Continues Literacy Push in Henrico Schools

Laura Bornfreund was quoted in the Richmond Times-Dispatch on the effectiveness of direct instruction for young children: 

Laura Bornfreund.. said the instruction is most effective in high schools where students are older and have longer attention spans.

“The worst thing that could happen would be that a teacher would just be talking at children, particularly young children, for 30, 40 minutes,” she said.
