Kevin Carey was quoted in AZ Central about how the University of Arizona's acquisition of the for-profit college, Ashford University, misleads the public and prospective students.
Kevin Carey, director of the education policy program at think tank New America, said the new name and brand could be misleading for the public and prospective students.
"They're not going to know that what they're enrolling in (was) until very recently a for-profit college with a very checkered history of lawsuits and investigations into their recruiting practices, some of which are still ongoing and have not yet been resolved," Carey said.
