New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is continuing to bang the drum for improving the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program in the next stimulus.
This week, Gillibrand visited Stony Brook University, where she stood with students and called on Senate leadership to include provisions from her legislation, the What You Can Do For Your Country Act, in any Covid-19 legislation. Citing the PSLF program’s notorious 99% rejection rate, Gillibrand said the program is failing public service workers – particularly frontline workers during the pandemic.
