PolicyLink, a national organization focused on social and economic equity, has launched a new web-based resource for people working in the economic opportunity and asset building fields. The new site, ACCESS to Financial Security for All, is designed to serve as a research library, forum to develop and discuss ideas, and a place to share information about upcoming events, publications, and other news from the field. The site was created with support from the Building Economic Security Over the Lifetime initiative at the Ford Foundation. It is intended to facilitate conversation among organizations working to promote economic opportunity for low- and middle-income people, but also has value for interested members of the public.

The Asset Building Program is one of the organizations featured as a partner on ACCESS. Our hope is that by using ACCESS we'll be able to share, learn and strengthen our relationships with academic researchers, advocates, and those working in a direct service capacity to support the economic mobility of lower-income people. As with many web-based tools, the ACCESS site will be as strong and valuable a resource as users make it. By participating in conversations, making others in the field aware of what projects we're already working on, and helping to identify important issues and high-quality research, we're hoping to help make this an effective policy and communications tool. Take a look: the site has an incredible amount of information, check back as there's lots more to come, and follow them on Twitter @access2assets.
