[ONLINE] - Power to the Public: Tackling Design Operations

Event

In Power to the Public: The Promise of Public Interest Technology, authors Hana Schank and Tara McGuinness lay down a blueprint for how governments and nonprofits can harness the power of digital technology to solve public problems. The authors, who advise the New America's Public Interest Technology and New Practice Lab programs, respectively, offer a guide for utilizing joint strengths to serve the public – including design ops.

Don’t miss Hana Schank in discussion with Michael Land, Senior Advisor for Customer Experience and UX Design at the Department of Homeland Security, Mari Nakano, Design Director at Service Design Studio for the NYC Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity, and Cyd Harrell, a civic design consultant who has worked with city, county, federal, and state agencies on how we can most efficiently solve our public issues using technology.
