Sarah Oldmixon

Sarah Oldmixon is an independent consultant who specializes in connecting students and workers to good jobs and equipping businesses with effective strategies to attract, retain, and grow talent. She has collaborated with over two dozen communities to design and deploy successful workforce development initiatives, including sector partnerships, career pathways, and apprenticeships.

Sarah previously served as Managing Director of the Partnership to Advance Youth Apprenticeship (PAYA) at New America. Earlier in her career, she was Co-Director of the Workforce Matters Funders Network and a leadership team member at the National Skills Coalition. She also led the workforce development grantmaking portfolio at the Greater Washington Community Foundation, advised governors and state agency leaders at the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices, and was a fellow at the Ray Marshall Center for the Study of Human Resources.

Sarah is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a BA in American Studies and a Master of Public Affairs degree from the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
