Sandy Wax

Sandy Wax is an accomplished media executive with 30 years experience leading strategy and operations to build and transform growth initiatives at entertainment companies including NBCUniversal, Disney and Discovery. Sandy launched and built PBS Kids Sprout, an on demand and linear preschool TV service which celebrated the everyday moments of childhood. Within ten years, Sprout was ranked the #1 Kids TV brand with a highly engaged kid and family audience and growing library of original series and owned IP and characters.

Sandy also served as SVP Brand Strategy and Research for Disney Channel, playing a pivotal role in brand and franchise development. She was a key architect of the Playhouse Disney curriculum and brand. Most recently, Sandy founded Waxon Group, a full-service consulting firm that advises nonprofits, established brands, and startups, including UCLA’s Center for Scholars & Storytellers, Crayola, Hellosaurus and Nevision Studios.
