Puja Balachander is a social impact designer turned entrepreneur dedicated to supporting every parent to give their children the best start in life. She is the founder and CEO of Devie, an AI coach providing every parent with the personalised advice, learning activities, and emotional support they need to be the parent they want to be.
Puja started her career with the Presidential Innovation Fellows, where she worked with the Department of Health and Human Services to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and families. She then worked with the World Bank in Madagascar to design and test maternal and child health interventions that would reduce the prevalence of stunting among under fives. Before Devie, she led the Service Design Lab in the City of Austin, working on using digital tech to make essential public services more accessible to the residents that relied on them.
Puja holds a BA in International Studies from American University.
