Myra Francisco is an intern with New America’s Higher Education policy team. Born and raised in Arizona, she is currently pursuing a BA in Political Science and a minor in Statistics at Arizona State University.
Myra is also currently a virtual intern at the Office of Federal Student Aid at the U.S. Department of Education, working on issues related to financial literacy. Prior to New America, Myra worked with organizations including the Chandler Chamber of Commerce, where she worked on policy issues for the business community. She also worked on legislative affairs with the Arizona Board of Regents’s Government Affairs team and interned with KIPP DC’s Data and Student Information team.
