Lisa Sargent

Lisa Sargent, a community advocate and co-creator at BECOME, works at the intersection of community organizing and evaluation. With experience in strategic communications, advertising, applied sociology, political and civic engagement, and culturally-responsive evaluation, she takes an interdisciplinary approach when working with nonprofits, government officials, philanthropy, and academia to build transformative practices and cultivate liberatory, community-driven solutions to complex social problems.

Lessons learned from her time as a community organizer, political educator and multi-issue activist continue to ground her thinking around accessible and sustainable collective power building.

Lisa envisions and fights for a world where all of our communities, especially those most impacted by inequity, have the capacity and resources they need to thrive long-term.
