Kip Dooley

Communications & Events Manager, Public Interest Technology

Kip Dooley manages communications and events to celebrate and evangelize Public Interest Technology, and the growing PIT University Network.

Prior to New America, Dooley consulted with impact organizations like Feedback Labs, the Autodesk Foundation, Democracy Fund and NewsMatch on communications strategy, content development, email marketing and website design and management.

Through his consulting work, Dooley developed a passion for telling stories about people who are developing solutions to complex, intersectional challenges such as the fracturing of the public sphere, the need for quality journalism and digital civil rights, and the role of industry in addressing climate change and inequality.

Trained as a high school teacher and sports coach, Dooley has taught courses in the School of Communication at American University in Washington, D.C., and continues to write and coach tennis in his free time.
