Joyce Hwang is the technical assistance manager for the Center on Education & Labor's Future of Work and Innovation Economy Initiative (FOWIE). She supports the management, technical assistance, and research of the Accelerator for Community Colleges in the Innovation Economy. Previously at New America, she played a key role in the launch of the Partnership to Advance Youth Apprenticeship (PAYA) initiative. In this role, she coordinated the national youth apprenticeship network and supported the capacity building efforts of youth apprenticeship programs and policies.
Most recently, she was an associate with Education Strategy Group (ESG), where she worked on several national pathways initiatives, including Launch, as well as other projects to expand middle school career exploration and student social capital development. Joyce holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy, as well as a BS in Child Development and Spanish from Vanderbilt University.
