Jodi Narde

Director of Editorial and Publications

Jodi Narde is the Director of Editorial and Publications for New America, where she oversees the organization’s publications pipeline across five thematic areas, serves as a managing editor for The Thread, and partners with program teams to connect their research to broader audiences.

Prior to joining New America, Narde directed content and publications at the Institute for Women’s Policy Research, where she revamped the production process and provided close editorial support to researchers and policy experts.

Previously, as Associate Director of Strategic Communications at the Aga Khan Foundation USA, Narde led brand narrative and messaging strategy while managing a high-impact communications team. During her time at AKF, she sharpened the organization’s brand voice, established key messaging pillars adopted across AKF’s global offices, and trained staff on people-first storytelling.

Narde also brings over eight years of experience in academic publishing. She directed the digital marketing program at New York University Press and served as an assistant editor at Oxford University Press.

Narde holds a MPA in nonprofit management from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a BA in creative writing from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.
