Geng Ngarmboonanant

Fellow, Bretton Woods II

Geng Ngarmboonanant is a fellow at New America and currently works with the Bretton Woods II initiative, which aims to mobilize $250 billion from the world's largest asset holders into social impact and development.

He is also a management consultant at Bain & Company, where he delivers strategic advice to leading companies, non-profits and governments. His current research interests include democratization and development, 21st century statecraft (technology and social networks), and Asia policy. Most recently, he wrote over 30 editorials for the Washington Post, focusing on foreign and legal affairs. He has researched for Wall Street Journal columnist Bill Galston and leading democratic theorist Ian Shapiro.

A native of Thailand and a graduate of Yale University, he has spent time on the ground with the Thai democratic movement and his work has been published in the Washington Post, New Republic and The Huffington Post.
