Cynthia McClintock

Cynthia McClintock, PhD, is Professor of Political Science at George Washington University. Her most recent book is Electoral Rules and Democracy in Latin America (Oxford University Press, 2018). She is also the author or co-author of three additional books; her articles and book chapters number more than seventy and have been published in World Politics, Comparative Politics, Foreign Affairs, and the Journal of Democracy, among other journals. She is a past president of the Latin American Studies Association, a past chair of the American Political Science Association’s Comparative Democratization Section, and a past member of the Executive Council of the American Political Science Association.
