Policy analyst Spandana Singh and former OTI intern Quinn Anex-Ries are featured in a Tech Policy Press podcast episode about their recent scorecard report on how platforms are addressing misinformation and disinformation ahead of the 2022 U.S. elections, delving into some key insights from their research.

Spandi Singh: … And it’s important to recognize that moderation is never going to be a 100% perfect. There will always be errors but again, it’s important for us to be able to understand when are those errors happening and what impact are they having, so that we can try and plug those gaps. Otherwise, we’re just at the mercy of platforms who’ll say, “Our automated systems are very effective. Don’t worry.” Right? But it’s our job to worry. It’s our job to hold the platforms accountable.
