From Pitch to Published
An International Women's Day Workshop
Event
You’ve got an op-ed idea. How do you pitch it? Where do you pitch it? Join us for an interactive workshop on the do’s and dont’s of getting published.
Nuclear war. Climate change. Refugees. Extremism. Today's global challenges are numerous and complex. And, still, we continue to hear analysis and commentary from a narrow perspective — that of white men. In 2016, 76 percent of foreign policy and national security experts on prime time and Sunday talk shows were men; only 24 percent were women. Media representation is still a volatile battleground for gender parity, so how can we learn and leverage better strategies to offer more diverse media opportunities?
Join us with Foreign Policy Interrupted co-founder and CEO Elmira Bayrasli for a solutions-based workshop—followed by a networking reception—on tips and best practices for turning you ideas into published work.
