Nuclear war. Climate change. Refugees. Extremism. Today's global challenges are numerous and complex. And, still, we continue to hear analysis and commentary from a narrow perspective — that of white men. In 2016, 76 percent of foreign policy and national security experts on prime time and Sunday talk shows were men; only 24 percent were women. Media representation is still a volatile battleground for gender parity, so how can we learn and leverage better strategies to offer more diverse media opportunities?

Join us with Foreign Policy Interrupted co-founder and CEO Elmira Bayrasli for a solutions-based workshop—followed by a networking reception—on tips and best practices for turning you ideas into published work.

Foreign Policy Interrupted is focused on building a brain trust of and a platform for female foreign policy experts. Our goal is to change the perception about women as thought leaders in order to tap into and unleash their enormous potential to add value to the global economy.
