Elana Broitman Named Director of New America NYC

New America is proud to announce the appointment of Elana Broitman as the director of the New America NYC office.

Broitman brings expertise in legal and technological fields and significant New York government experience to the New York office. She was previously at the UJA-Federation in New York, where she was a senior vice president. Prior to that, she served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Office of Manufacturing & Industrial Base Policy in the Department of Defense and as a Senior Advisor to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.).

“I am thrilled to join New America and help bring together national, international and local issues and policy leaders,” said Broitman, “I’m eager to combine my experience in Washington government, New York philanthropy and the private sector to make a meaningful contribution that advances an innovative think tank model.”
