[ONLINE] - The Future of Entertainment

Have we streamed our way out of the movie theater for good? That is but one of the existential questions Hollywood is grappling with as a result of a pandemic that is accelerating the transformation of the entertainment industry. Other questions swirl around Big Tech’s incursion into Hollywood; the urgent need for our storytelling industries to be more representative of the country's full diversity and respond to cries for racial and social justice; the globalization of audiences; and the shifting power dynamics between studios, talent, and their representatives. Future Tense has invited Michael Burns, Vice Chairman of Lionsgate, and some sharp thinkers covering the industry to help us understand the future of entertainment.
