This April, Charleston Regional Youth Apprenticeships (CRYA) at Trident Technical College will bring together current and new apprenticeship practitioners from across the country to their campus in Charleston, South Carolina to explore what it takes to build and implement high-quality youth apprenticeship programs. This event will lift up promising practices, foster a community of peer to peer learning, and provide attendees with opportunities to hear directly from employers, education providers, industry leaders, funders and other experts in the field of youth apprenticeships.
This event is open to the public and catered towards work-based learning practitioners that are new to youth apprenticeship and are particularly interested in developing early-stage youth apprenticeship programs in healthcare, advanced manufacturing, hospitality, culinary arts, and mechatronics.
We encourage participants to attend as a partnership team with 2-5 colleagues (e.g., intermediary, employer(s), postsecondary education partner(s), K-12 education partner(s), workforce development board leaders, and others).
Attendees are welcome to take our complimentary bus from in front of the Hyatt House in Downtown Charleston to Trident Technical College each day.
Logistics:
- Registration: free
- Hotel room from March 31-April 2: We recommend for all attendees stay at or near Hyatt House in downtown Charleston to catch the complimentary bus to and from our meeting space at Trident Technical College.
