Joseph Mendonca
Senior Associate, Future of Land and Housing
Joseph Mendonca is a Senior Associate with New America’s Future of Land and Housing program, where he supports the Great Lakes Receiving Network.
Prior to joining New America, Mendonca worked at Smart Growth America in Washington, DC, where he supported local climate and housing initiatives in communities across the U.S. Before Smart Growth America, he worked at the Shimberg Center for Housing Studies at the University of Florida, where he conducted quantitative and qualitative research on the intersection of climate resilience and affordable housing policy.
Mendonca holds an MS in Geociences with a focus in the Human Environment and Sustainable Science from Florida Atlantic University. He also holds a BS from Florida Atlantic University.
