Letter to House Education Committee on Title II of the PROSPER Act

The PROSPER Act, H.R. 4508, as introduced proposed to eliminate Title II, which includes a number of teacher preparation programs; and replace it with a new apprenticeship program. While New America is supportive of apprenticeship programs, educator preparation is a national priority. This letter to the chair and ranking member of the House Education Committee from New America’s education program urges them to restore authorization for educator preparation programs in the bill.
