The build4good program is an intern-mentorship experience that partners post-secondary students who are majoring in computer science, data science, integrated digital media, UI/UX design, or other technology-related fields to mission-driven organizations with technology-specific project needs. The program aims to inspire future leaders to develop socially-minded technology and help mission-driven organizations harness the power of technology for social good.
Alongside their internship, interns meet weekly and attend a week-long in-person convening and hackathon where they have the opportunities to transfer classroom-learned skills to real-world application, add new technical skills, understand public policy, gain insights into different career pathways, and gain leadership and 21st-century skills.
