2020 Census: Everyone Counts

Event

In just over a year, people from across sectors will assume a massive effort that underpins our democracy – counting every person where they live as part of the 2020 Census. The tally of people, both in communities across the Bay Area as well as the country, is the foundation for representation in Congress, funding for crucial public services (like affordable housing and transportation), and more. A successful Census will fully count often hard to reach renters, children, people experiencing homelessness, immigrants, and people with limited English proficiency.

New America CA and SPUR are joining forces to host an action-oriented forum on the 2020 Census efforts underway in Oakland and across the US, and to discuss the role each of us can play in ensuring success.
