The Learning Sciences Exchange (LSX) is a problem-solving platform focused on transforming education by applying the science of learning to help children and youth thrive. We work to develop solutions and build a field of talented multidisciplinary leaders through fellowships, design-thinking and networking workshops, convenings, and coalition-building efforts across sectors.

Recent work includes establishing a national commission of leaders who support the development of cross-sector ecosystems in local and regional communities. These ecosystems include schools, afterschool programs, libraries, early learning networks, models offering youth pathways within and after high school, and more. Our fellowship program, which started in 2018, selects and facilitates teams of mid-career experts from typically isolated sectors: education; journalism; the learning sciences; media, tech, and entertainment; and social-impact startups.
