Financial Planning & Analyst Manager
Tyrone Warren is the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager for New America, where he oversees financial administration of public and private grants awarded to New America. This includes budgeting, forecasting and grant management in support of organization-wide strategic initiatives. In his role, he partners closely with program leadership to oversee financial reporting, monitor grant performance, support long range planning, and strengthen financial processes.
Previously, Warren served as a Program Finance Manager at a global environmental advocacy nonprofit, where he managed millions in annual revenue across domestic and international funding sources. In that role, he led annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, helped develop grant tracking tools, and partnered closely with program leadership to support strategic decision making. He also played a key role in improving forecasting accuracy, strengthening financial reporting processes, and overseeing complex grant allocations and compliance initiatives involving major philanthropic funders.
Prior to that, Warren worked for one of New York City’s largest educational nonprofit organizations, where he managed budgets across more than thirty educational and community-based programs. He helped streamline financial reporting operations that contributed to stronger financial oversight.
Warren earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting with a concentration in Internal Auditing from York College. His professional experience includes financial planning and analysis, grants management, revenue allocation, variance analysis, systems implementation, and nonprofit financial operations.
