Jamie Song is the staff product manager at New Practice Lab. Song’s first job was at a small law firm, helping people apply to Medicaid. She’s largely stayed within the healthcare domain since then, building workflow and data products for Medicare Advantage plans and care coordinators. In 2020, she joined Skylight as a product manager, working with the United States Digital Service team at the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI). There, she piloted discovery sprints with a policy team, with the ultimate goal of influencing upcoming procurements to be based on human-centered design. She also developed strategic recommendations for CMMI executives around health equity, data transparency, and the patient’s voice. She later served as Chief of Staff at Skylight, where she built out growth practices and partnerships. When she’s not at her desk, Song can be found gardening, in her woodworking shop, or hosting alliterative themed events, like Fast and Furious Fridays.
