Known for his probing, human coverage of countries ravaged by conflict, Chris Hondros was one of the world's most acclaimed war photographers, shooting for the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times, when he was killed in a mortar attack in Libya at the age of 41, just three months before his wedding day.

In Hondros, director Greg Campbell honors the life of his life-long best friend and explores his deep commitment to capturing the images that convey the human cost of war. Featuring interviews with Chris's colleagues on the frontlines and his photographic subjects, Hondros presents a stirring portrait of a pioneering photographer who devoted himself to bearing witness and to making sure the stories of even war's littlest victims were told with dignity and compassion.

Hondros was the winner of the Hamptons International Film Festival's 2017 Brizzolara Family Foundation Award for Films of Conflict & Resolution.
