We’re Hiring!
The Asset Building Program at the New America Foundation is looking for a few good men, women, people, uh, person actually, just one for right now. Yesterday we posted this announcement for a Policy Analyst’s position.
You can see the qualifications and responsibilities on the announcement, but what we’re ideally looking for is someone with a grad degree as well as an interest and/or background in asset building or related fields like housing, financial service, tax or economic development policy. We want someone who can contribute to our work from a research and writing perspective, someone who can communicate effectively in a variety of formats (blogging, writing policy papers, public speaking.)
There’s a lot going on in the asset building world right now, from new developments in consumer financial protection, to legislation promoting savings incentives for lower-income Americans and budgetary proposals to reform asset limits in most federal means-tested programs. It’s an exciting time to be involved in this work and we’re looking for a qualified candidate to join our team.
New America is an equal opportunity employer. The application deadline is July 23rd for a cover letter and resume, see the posting for specific instructions. In addition, if you have specific questions you can feel free to send me an email as well.
