WEBINAR: Balancing Affordability and Asset Building in Homeownership Programs
Two of the prime goals of shared equity homeownership programs are to provide long-term affordability and asset building opportunities to lower income families. But how well do they balance these two seemingly contradictory goals?
A recent report by The Urban Institute, Balancing Affordability and Opportunity: An Evaluation of Affordable Homeownership Programs with Long-term Affordability Controls, provides information on seven shared equity homeownership programs across the country that provide long-term affordable homeownership opportunities. The report findings demonstrate how such programs can effectively provide long-term affordability while still offering their residents substantial asset building opportunities.
Please join us tomorrow, Wednesday, January 26, 2011- 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. for a webinar to learn more about these seven exemplary programs and how shared equity homeownership can serve as an effective tool to promote individual asset building.
- Participate in the webinar: The two-part event begins at 3:30 p.m. EST (12:30 p.m. PST) with a 90-minute webinar that will provide an opportunity to listen to each speaker as well as ask questions.
- Continue the conversation: Immediately following the call, we encourage you to post additional questions and comments here on the HousingPolicy.org Forum.
