The Federal Role in Supporting 21st Century Educational Innovation
I’m going to be speaking at the Brookings Insitution this Thursday, in conjunction with the release of a new paper Andrew Rotherham and I have written for Brookings’ Metropolitan Policy Program about the federal role in supporting educational innovation. Innovation is one of several areas where I think that the K-12 education policy world can learn a lot from the example of early education, which has been far more innovative–and open to innovation–than the K-12 sector in a variety of ways. So come and hear what Andy and I have to say this Thursday! You can register for the event here.
