OTI Joins Coalition of Civil Society Organizations in Condemning FTC Firings

In a letter sent to Congressional leadership, New America’s Open Technology Institute (OTI) joined 24 other civil society organizations in denouncing the White House’s unlawful attempt to terminate duly appointed and Senate confirmed commissioners from their positions at the Federal Trade Commission. The coalition urged Congress to “continue this active oversight [of the FTC], demand answers from FTC leadership, and use all tools available as members of Congress to reverse the president’s destructive actions."
