Abstract

This series of articles highlight the thinking of the Political Reform program in 2019 and going forward. We see the current political moment as an inflection point, one that allows us to think about what American democracy could be in the future rather than the morass of the present. Beyond the systemic mistrust, cynicism, and dysfunction, we look to a future of a more equal, representative, and healthy democracy, one in which all citizens count, and one in which government can function effectively to address people’s needs.

This series of articles was originally published in the New America Weekly on June 27, 2019.
