Heard in the Forum: RTT-ELC Tools for States and News Resources

This week in our Early Ed Forum we posted about tools created by the Early Learning Challenge Collaborative to help states interested in competing for the Race to the Top – Early Learning Challenge develop strong applications.

We also posted links to several new resources for states and school districts interested in implementing birth through third grade reforms:

1)    A report from the Harvard Family Research Project and the National PTA highlighting the need for teachers to be better prepared to work with families. This is the third report in a series on family engagement policy.

2)    A guide from FirstSchool to help communities develop optimal indoor and outdoor learning environments for children ages 3 to 8.

3)    A report from the National Council of La Raza on developing high-quality preschool programs for Latino children and overcoming preschool access barriers to promote school readiness.
