We want to call your attention to a couple of new items in the forum this week. First there is a new post that shares the results from informal survey that asked what you thought the top Early Learning Challenge priorities should be. In the post, we also provide a few details on what’s in the proposed guidelines for the Race to the Top-Early Learning Challenge. The RTT-ELC was announced last month and will be administered jointly by the Departments of Education and Health and Human Services.
Second, we’ve added a few new resources including a recent report from the Center for the Study of Child Care Employment titled, “Staff Preparation, Reward and Support: Are Quality Rating and Improvement Systems Addressing all of the Key Ingredients Necessary for Change.” You’ll also see a new category listed for research on PreK-3rd or birth through third initiatives that focus on English Language Learners.
We encourage you to create an account and join the discussion on topics such as principal development, assessment and measurement and supporting families. We hope you will share lessons you’ve learn and recommend helpful resources that you’ve come across in your work.
We look forward to your feedback and hope to see you online!
