Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Call for Papers: Restoring Household Financial Stability after the Great Recession

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis has a call out for papers for a February 2013 research symposium (co-organized with the Center for Social Development) which will take a close look at the importance of balance sheets both for household economic security and macroeconomic stability. As James Bullard, the president of the St. Louis Fed, recently expressed, this research is a top priority for the Fed, which recognizes that “a clear challenge remains to define mechanisms whereby Americans, especially low- and moderate-income Americans, can rebuild their balance sheets, which will help both struggling families and the stagnant economy move forward.”

More detail on the submission process is available in the attached pdf. Abstracts of 750-1000 words are due September 24th. Questions may be directed to Bryan Noeth at the Federal Reserve.
