Comments to the USDA on the Proposed Rule Change to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

In July 2019, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released a proposed rule change to categorical eligibility in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). On September 23, 2019, Elise Franchino submitted public comments raising concerns about the impact this rule change would have on children’s access to food, both at home and at school.
