Comment on 2023 Proposed Negotiated Rulemaking Agenda

In March 2023, the Department of Education announced its intent to establish a rulemaking committee to revise regulations on a variety of topics, including accreditation, state authorization, return of Title four funds, and other issues. On April 24, 2023, New America's higher education team submitted public comments highlighting priorities for the negotiations and encouraging the department to ensure that students and taxpayers are properly protected by federal regulations.
