Colleges Can Make Life Easier For Parenting Students

Admissions offers are starting to go out for millions of students around the country and a lot of the students waiting on those decisions are trying to figure out how they will go to college with children in tow. Today’s students do not look like the stereotype that many people hold of an 18-year-old who will be leaving their parent’s house for the first time. Many of the students constantly hitting refresh on their inbox, anticipating a college acceptance and financial aid offer will be parents themselves. The challenge for parenting students is that, in most cases, their financial aid will not account for the childcare costs they incur while in college. Anyone who has paid for childcare will know this is not a minor oversight.
