2026 Letter of Support for Maryand’s Student Parent Data Collection Bill

In January 2026, the New America Higher Education Team submitted a letter of support for Maryland's House Bill 006. The bill would require the Maryland Higher Education Commission to collect data regarding the parental status of students from each public institution of higher education, and require all institutions of higher education to adopt a support plan for pregnant and parenting students.
