Please join us for a book talk with the authors of “Power to the Public: The Promise of Public Interest Technology.” This discussion with Tara Dawson McGuinness and Hana Schank is sponsored by the new HKS Public Interest Tech Lab at the Shorenstein Center and supported by the Teaching Public Service in a Digital Age Project at the Ash Center. The Tech Lab will raffle 40 copies of the books to attendees. Introductions by Latanya Sweeney and Kathy Pham. Author interviews with David Eaves.
About the Speakers:
Tara Dawson McGuinness is the founder of the New Practice Lab at New America and teaches public problem solving at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. In addition, she worked in the Obama White House on communications and domestic policy. @taradmcguinness
Hana Schank is Strategy Director for Public Interest Technology at New America and the coauthor of The Government Fix: How to Innovate in Government and The Ambition Decisions: What Women Know about Work, Family, and the Path to Building a Life. She previously served as Director of Product and UX Research, Digital Service – Department of Homeland Security. @hanaschank
