Eating Animals opened my eyes and took my breath away.
It presents an urgent and mandatory lesson.” — Alice Waters

Eating Animals, a new documentary inspired by Jonathan Safran Foers bestselling book, begins with a single question: where do our eggs, dairy, and meat come from? To answer this question, director Christopher Quinn travels around the globe – from China to Stockholm – in order to fully understand what impact an industry that processes more than 50 billion animals a year has on the environment, the economy, and our health.

Produced and narrated by Academy-Award-winner Natalie Portman the film spotlights a growing movement of small, local farmers devoted to bringing their trade – and the way we eat – back to its roots.

On June 17th, join New America NYC at the IFC Center for an exclusive screening of Eating Animals followed by a conversation with some of New York’s leading champions for a new narrative around ethical farming, animal rights, and clean, savory eating.

Immediately following the screening, please join us for a reception at Otto Enoteca e Pizzeria.
