Cultivating Connections: Why Relationships Matter for Youth Apprenticeship
- Virtual
- 1PM – 2PM EDT
Hosted by Education Strategy Group
Cultivating Connections introduces the concept of social capital, its vital role in opening doors to quality jobs, and its relevance to youth apprenticeships. PAYA National Partner Education Strategy Group will present their Social Capital Scope and Sequence—a four-step learning progression aligned to typical competencies for students in middle and high schools with activities and resources that guide students in building their social capital knowledge and skills and begin to activate their networks. Attendees will also explore case studies from other youth apprenticeship organizations and discuss the connection between ESG’s Scope and Sequence and PAYA’s guiding principles.
For PAYA Network Members and Grantees:
After attending the webinar, PAYA Network Members and Grantees will be welcomed to apply to join a cohort that will participate in three workshops led by ESG. With guidance from ESG, cohort attendees will develop a social capital implementation strategy unique to their organization. The workshops will be cumulative, and attendance by at least two team members at all three sessions is required.
