From 2022-2024, the Joy Lives Here team—comprised of education leader Michelle Dinneen-White, researcher Andrea Goldin, journalist Benjamin Herold, social entrepreneur Elizabeth Kperrun-Eremie, and entertainment producer Natasha Tarpley—designed a suite of activity cards, a music video, a postcard, and a coloring worksheet, to inspire joyful connections between children, their caregivers, and their communities. Grounded in research showing that joyful interactions support children's mental health, creativity, and engagement, the activity cards offer prompts that encourage children to reflect on, seek, and create joy, while the music video offers an opportunity to dance and connect to an uplifting, intercultural beat. The activity cards, postcard, and worksheet are available in both English and Spanish. The entire suite of resources can be found below.
