Hua Hsu

Hua Hsu, National Fellow, spent his fellowship year completing his book, A Floating Chinaman, published by Harvard University Press in 2016. He is working on a study of immigrant culture and American ideas around diversity. He is currently an associate professor of English at Vassar College, a contributor to the New Yorker, and an executive board member of the Asian American Writers Workshop. Hsu is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and has a Ph.D. in American studies from Harvard University.
