From Classrooms to Care Floor: Building Healthcare Apprenticeship Pathways for Youth
A two-day conference for employers and youth apprenticeship program leaders interested in developing work-based learning programs for the healthcare sector.
- In-Person
- Charleston Regional Youth Apprenticeship
- 9AM – 1PM EDT
This summer, education, workforce, and healthcare ecosystems leaders will convene at Trident Technical College in Charleston, South Carolina for a two-day conference focused on building and strengthening apprenticeship pathways in the healthcare sector. The convening will explore what it takes to design, launch, and sustain high-quality youth apprenticeship pathways that expand access to careers in healthcare while meeting regional and local labor market constraints.
Participants will attend expert-led mainstage presentations and engage in interactive sessions that will create space for peer-to-peer learning and spotlight innovative programs from across the country. Attendees will hear directly from hospital administrators, intermediaries, K–12 and postsecondary partners, and workforce leaders who are actively developing and scaling apprenticeship and other work-based learning pathways in clinics and hospitals.
Who should attend?
This event is open to the public and is geared toward employers and youth apprenticeship programs at various stages of development, with a particular focus on organizations that currently manage work-based learning pathways.
Participants are encouraged to attend as a team of 2–5 colleagues—including employers, education partners, workforce development board leaders, and community-based organizations—to maximize learning and support coordinated action following the convening.
