Donte Brown

Donte Brown is an experienced IT Technologist with more than 20 years of hands-on experience in enterprise IT support, systems administration, and infrastructure management. At New America, he plays a key role in strengthening the organization’s technology operations by delivering secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that support its research and mission-driven work. He has led the implementation of GoTo Resolve as New America’s helpdesk ticketing platform and the deployment of Commvault Metallic to enhance backup and disaster recovery capabilities. In addition, he has contributed to the development of IT policies that promote strong security practices, operational consistency, and long-term resilience. His technical expertise includes Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, VMware, and PowerShell automation, with a focus on efficiency, stability, and continuous improvement.

Outside of work, he enjoys fishing and spending time with his children. He is actively involved in youth development through coaching football, lacrosse, and basketball, and he enjoys cooking at home, whether at the grill or in the kitchen.
