Letter to Senate Finance Committee Regarding Death and Disability Discharges

This letter urges the Senate Finance Committee to maintain a provision in its tax reform bill that would make student loan discharges due to the borrower’s death or total and permanent disability, and to consider expanding it to other forms of student loan forgiveness, including income-driven repayment forgiveness and borrower defense discharges.
