Comments on Higher Education Act Title II Teacher Preparation and Credentialing Information Collection

In August 2023, the U.S. Department of Education proposed changes to the information collected from states and institutions of higher education on the preparation of prospective teachers, as required by Title II of the Higher Education Act (HEA) .

New America's PreK-12 team submitted public comments highlighting the need for the Department to release additional information about the proposed revisions in order to provide feedback that could enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information collected.
