Letter of Concern to the Department of Education Regarding Online Program Managers

The New America Higher Education Policy Team joined with the Center for American Progress and the Century Foundation to send a letter of concern to the Department of Education highlighting the unique risk posed by the potential collapse of a large online program manager (OPM).

The letter raises concerns about 2U, and other OPMs that appear to be in shaky financial condition. The letter provides the Department with several suggestions for questions it should be considering in order to protect students from harm should a major OPM collapse.
